Well, note_to_chicken is a dud. Probably because the name is lame. So sometime in the next few days I will be deleting it, and trying again with note2chicknshit (name as suggested by jemyl).

Had my 6 week post-op today. The inside stitches have all absorbed properly, the incisions are all happy and healed, and I have a "clean bill of health". As far as I know, my ovaries are still working properly, but I never have to deal with another period again! I'm spayed!

Today we get to drive up to my Dad's house for Giftmas, so I'll be off-line for a few days....

The office as a whole sent me a nifty plant basket, too. The trick will be keeping it alive.

I still am hopelessly behind in my email and web. I did some last night, reading only "people" not "communities", and at skip=100 was still on Thursday. I haven't even looked at my email.

Well, this year we sold a whole $10 in two days of garage sale, 9 am - 5pm. Better than we've done any previous year, but still sucky. It still feels like a buttload of wasted time.

I have to go in for a pelvic ultrasound on Thursday (doc suspects fibroids). My period *still* hasn't started. The last one started the 16th, and I usually have a 23 - 25 day cycle. No, no chance I'm preggers. I don't think I'm due for menopause yet, either. I only have a few grey hairs.

Grandma's in the hospital, and it's not looking real good.

I'm late on where I'd like to be on the SiliCon work, but at least the money to have the program book printed is available.

No soap this weekend, too damn busy.

My blueberries have started ripening. Breakfast this morning was a few blueberries and a strawberry. Our Roma tomatoes are still green, but there are a lot of them. The mint under the faucet is growing big, too. The rosemary died because one of my roomies turned the water down too far... ;-)

I have completed 58/58 yellow, 30/39 black, and 1/95 grey granny squares for my smiley face icon afghan. I'd have more of the black done, but I didn't bring enough black yarn with me to florida (I only brought two balls, and I should have brought 3).

weofodthignen apparently has arrived at ertla's, but her computer isn't there yet, and neither of them has called me or stopped by. *sniffle*

The soapmaking project is proceeding. This week I bought a cheap pH meter with thermometer (surprisingly good for the price), molds, gloves, tea tree and neem oils, and a wooden spoon. I may use one of our spare crock pots, with the understanding that it only is used for soaping after that. I need to find my safety goggles, and I like to have a rubber/plastic apron, too. Yes, I'm an ex-chemist, and lye is caustic.

This coming two months will a little hectic, with SiliCon PR #2 and the SiliCon Program book due in August and September, respectively.
