After a nasty scare last week (I passed a big glob of jellied blood), I seem to be doing OK. Lots of quality naptime. I finished only one book, though, and I haven't gotten back to my USB boot toy yet.

Had my 2 week post-op appt. They told me that uterus was the size of a 15+ week pregnancy. My weigh in at the doctor's office had me 4 pounds lighter. The PA said that I had "been through a lot" on my insides, and admonished me to take it easy. The doctor had told me at the hospital that it had been huge, and took more than 15 pieces to get it out. Fortunately, it was only fibroids, nothing cancerous or otherwise long term nasty now that it's out.

I need to call my sister, but I can't find her current phone number.

Went to try to do a little giftmas shopping this weekend. Between me getting tired, and my roomies feet giving her grief, we couldn't do even a goodly portion of it on one weekend. Bleah. I shouldn't ache so much from just walking and standing.

The weather has snapped a bit cold here. I wish it would rain more so that it warms up. While it isn't the midwest, blanketed with snow, the homes out here really aren't designed to be thermally efficient (for either hot or cold). An "big freeze" type scenario would suck here.

One of the things we got with our shopping was candle holders. I hope various people like beeswax votives...

Glad to hear from you, sorry to hear about the scare, sorry the Yule shopping took so much out of you, but can't say I'm surprised. It wears me out and I've never had major surgery.

Wrap up warm, since you can't move about.

Hoping your innards are being good and healing,
M
