I try to live my beliefs: Helping starts at home. First your kin and friends, then your neighbors and town, then your state and nation, finally the rest of the world.

If anyone wants to know what I want for giftmas, it is this: Help someone out who has less than you do.

Give to a local organization that doesn't attach "strings" to its aid (that lets out the salvation Army, BTW.) If you need help, say so. I sure don't need more stuff, and the few things I do need I'll get myself.

Here's a few of my favorites:

Feeding Americe/Second Harvest - find your local food bank
Second Harvest Food Bank, Santa Clara County
Wounded Warrior Project - veterans
Habitat for Humanity - housing
VFW - veterans
Planned Parenthood - women's health

Have a great giftmas.

OK, so my sister is married to a religious right dittohead. But, she and her still remember what I enjoy. I received today, in the mail, the Star Trek PEZ dispenser Collector's Series.

Thanks Sis and small fry.

Now all you guys need to do is make an Amazon Wish List (or several) so I can send you stuff. No purchase required.
OK, so I have an Amazon Wish List. It's mostly got expensive dreamer stuff, but it does have a few items under $20.

There will be more, although what I want most for Yule is:
* A better paying job that makes me happy
* [livejournal.com profile] datapard to get a steady income
* My laundry pile to get washed
* Our workroom to get finished, or cleaned so that Al can't make excuses about not finishing it
* The back building dug out so I can get at my yarn and fabric again

It would be nice to:
* Win over $1,000,000 in the lottery so I can take a year off and be a student and spud without worrying about bills
* Several million bucks to build a SRO housing unit with 10x12 rooms
* Have a much bigger house with rooms Fuzzy is not allowed to set foot in, except as sherpa for my stash and tools

I dream of:
* Peace, the troops coming home
* The return of the rule of law and the US Constitution
* The de-fanging of the corporatocracy
* Privacy rights respected
* The complete implosion and irrelevancy of the religious right wing, never to rise again

Yes, you. You know who you are (yes, Stan and Chris, I'm talking to you). Will you please, please set up an Amazon Wish List with what the kids want for Xmas and birthdays?! You don't need to give them any financial info, just an email address, a password to get into it, and a shipping address so I can ship gifts directly to you!! Oh, Mom, this goes for you too. The fun is, it doesn't show your address, just the City and State.

You don't even need to use your real names, in case you're worried about stalkers. Just send me an email letting me knolw which list is yours!!

You see, I am a Prime™ member, I pay $79 a year for all you can eat shipping. If I get you guys something from Amazon, I don't have to pack it, wrestle it to the shipper, or worry about it getting there. For example, my Wish List is here.

So, seriously, if you want me to be able to remember your birthdays and holidays, let me know what you want, and where I can have my vendor drop-ship your goodies to. You won't have to go to the Post Office, or any other stuff. Just make a wish list, make it public, and I can see what you are wanting.

Well, with the Macy's giftcard my Dad sent me, I got something useful.

You see, I finally have started to internalize "I have enough clothes" (I actually have too many, but that's another go-round.) I have enough shoes - maybe, until my tennies wear out. I have enough random stuff - to the point where I have to buy better storage. I'm learning how to throw away stuff that is worn out or ripped. I now will actually throw out socks with holes, or underwear that's losing its elastic. I used to just stick it in a drawer for "repair", which I never did.

We have a stand mixer. I like homemade noodles, but I get tired trying to roll them. I got a pasta roller.

I made my first batch today.
