So it looks like I am going to be working the three days between Xmas and New Years. While this will help my pocketbook stay healthy, I won't be able to take any road trips. Ah, well.
Oh well, road trips in the rain aren't that much fun anyway. Besides, it's too far to drive to Florida even in one week and get back. LOL.
The up side is that most places don't get much real work done that week anyway as many are taking their vacation time so as not to lose it after the first of the year. It could turn out to be a fun, relaxing week at work.
Consider that a soft, fuzzy fur comforter has just been virtually sent your way, along with some big fluffy bunny slippers and a nice soft teddy bear with which you can cuddle up and read a good book, perhaps something by Robert Jordan or the weird wackiness of a mystery by Jeffery Dever. Then there are lots of HUGZ from Bill and me and Grandma Dutchy too. Love ya, kiddo!

(Hopefully we'll both have some leave time accumulated by then....)

Yeah, 2840 miles and 44 hours one way would be a little long of a drive, even for me. But I did consider it...
