I survived. He numbed the tooth, so there were only a few times when he poked beyond the numbness. A Vicodin two hours before helped, too. Then I took more Vicodin when I got to work, so that I wouldn't turn mean when the novocain wore off. My mouth ached a little, but that's all.

$783. This was the cheap part. Next month is the post and crown, to the tune of $1,500.00 *That* is gonna hurt - my pocketbook! But, if I'm real lucky I may have insurance??

Glad it went so well as it did. Hope you have insurance by next month.

Take care of yourself, yes?

Those prices are crazy. My caps cost $1000 apiece, with the root canals included.

Apparently the lab fees are over a third of the cost of a crown! This being silly valley, his overhead is probably outrageous, between rent (high - sunnyvale), utilities (thank you, Dick Cheney and friends), and office help.

Ouch! You are a braver one than I am Gunga Din! I hope you do have insurance for next month. Boo said that she had to have one of her crowns replaced and suggested you get implants. I told her that you know what you are doing. I hope the pain goes away soon. Take care of yourself. Love ya!
