Oh, my, gods! Palin Clothes Spending Has Dems Salivating, Republicans Disgusted, Palin Shopping Spree Legal? Yes, but Barely.

See Sarah "Imelda" Palin, again for my additional rant on the subject. I could come up with a nice wardrobe for much less, and it would last longer, too.

BTW, Obama’s suits are by Hart Schaffner Marx out of Chicago, and cost in the $1,500 range, which is reasonable for a quality men's suit.

I suspect Cindi McCain has something to do with this. But while she can carry off the supermodel look, Palin manages to turn even designer togs into potato sacks. They should have left Palin and Co. with the Alaska Chic look, but I guess you have to drip money if you're going to "look" Republican.

I'm sure Cindi McCain had something, or rather lots, to do with the clothes spending spree. I'd still like to know why a 7 year old needs to be lugging around a Luis Vuitton bag. How is this supposed to make us relate to her more? The party should have let her keep the Alaska chic look, it's more fitting for her. And Cindi McCain has come up with some wardrobe doozies all on her own. She appeared with hubby in Colorado Springs wearing some sort of orange knit/crocheted/fibery pouffy shrug (that would have gone nice with a pair of jeans) over a very nice lime green dress. Everyone's opinion was the same. "bloody hell what was she thinking?"

Take a look at what a Real Alaskan™ (http://www.commondreams.org/view/2008/10/21-3) thinks of Palin.

I'd rather the RNC wastes money on clothes than buys more lying ads.
