Since I have now started getting a ton of spam to my LJ email address, I set up a seperate mailbox for it. It sucks that I have to do this, but if that's what it takes to reduce my spam/viral load, so be it.
I've notice that LJ has suddenly developed a load of spam, too. You don't suppose it has anything to do with the change of management, do you, she says cynically. Or is it just that the addressbot harvesters have discovered a new venue?

Naaah, it's not *quite* to the level of selling your email addys in bulk.
But they probably did a stupid security problem that let the bots harvest your userinfo page. Their sysadmins are not the best, really.
