My step-father, Bill, passed away today after a long illness. Again, his death was expected, and he lived far longer than the doctors anticipated, partly due to the persistant advocacy and care of my mother.

Bill was also a Lion, and by trade a carpenter. He had several kids from a previous marriage, and he made my mom happy.

So I'll tip a glass this New Year's to Bill. Rest in peace, you've led a full life, and made a difference in someone else's.

I know him from your mother's posts. He was a good person and a strong man.

May the Ancients guide him.

I am sorry for your loss.

Hail Bill, and the moments he was able to share with those who loved him. May he find his way to the halls of your ancestors.

Thank you, Sweetie. He came by last night as I was sleeping to cuddle me a bit and to show me that he can walk and talk again in his new world. He also admonished me that pity parties are to be no more than ten minutes in length and not too many a day. (Can't you just see him doing it!) I thought Gma was nuts when she told me Gpa came back to stand by her bed a few times after he was gone. Now I know she wasn't. Peace and hugs! Bill thought the world of you, too.
