So, I did my shift of "granny sitting" with N Friday and Saturday. Exhausting, but I only wanted to slap her twice. Still a lot of attention seeking activity.
However, she wasn't nearly as obnoxious. True, Friday she tried three times to get me to have D come over, but she finaly got the point. Saturday was 12 hours+, so D and I split the shift. When D got home, he pointed out that she wasn't nearly so obnoxious and demanding this time. Methinks that I might have started to make a point.
Apparently, she didn't learn much about how to use a wheelchair from the hospital - or she didn't listen when she first got it several years ago. I've had to teach her about *always* setting the brakes before transferring, and always planning your movements before you do them. This is basic.
Her potti chair is still a problem - it isn't even close to heavy enough, so when she transfers into and out of it it tends to *move*. This is a bad thing, and until we can stabilize it, she literally can't transfer into it alone. Arrrggggh!
