Ordinarily it is against my personal rules to call in sick on a Monday. It just gives the wrong impression, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I called in sick today.
I slept lots more than usual this weekend, didn't try to do too much (felt like doing nothing), and went to bed on time last night. I still was nearly unable to get out of bed this morning, when I did I felt queasy, headachey, and in need of mucho more sleep. I also was a bit wheezey and coughing too. I didn't have enough brains to even take my temperature (and I don't have much more now.)
I still feel kind of spacey, but I only have minor (i.e. normal) body aches. I've only tried eating tums and little bland candies. I'll be trying some chicken soup stuff shortly. My roomie has threatened to haul me to a doctor over west nile fears. I feel guilty, because I've been out with low grade shit a lot this summer, not to mention the hit it puts on my pocketbook.

When you get better, I suggest doing some vitamins, echinachea and other whatever to build up your immune system. It sounds like you are a "come infect me" invitation to some virusi (or is it viruses? or viri?} and/or bacteria. Also, please try to relax a bit more as it really does becomes "dis-ease". Yeah, like I should talk. LOL
Bill is finally looking to be really better. Gma's potassium is off the charts and she is somewhat anemic. She has to get checked weekly until the correct meds are found. I guess most blood pressure lowering meds also raise potassium and Doc says her kidneys may be slow at filtering it out due to her age and after the major infection. Either that or she has some sort of a g.i. bleed which we don't know about and didn't show up on her poop test last year. Like, at 89, we are going to do much to figure that out. NO! I am not going to even attempt to collect a major sample of Gma's shit. She does too much of it --- I would have five gallon bucket full after only a day or two I swear. LOL
Charley missed us. We were scheduled to be in the path so I took Bill and Lady and Tarblaze and supplies up to the big garage and even the Hoyer lift and we stayed up there in the house but with everything in the cement block bathroom ready to squeeze in and tough it out if it headed our way. I have bruises where I never had bruises before and muscles that I never knew existed and it may have to be repeated later this week or next. ARGH! When I hit the lotto I am going to build a cement block shelter with a hurricane strapped roof and a BIG gas generator in its own cement block enclosure. I swear I am. Either that or I am going to build a series of them and tie them together with a large roofover and call it a house. LOL
That is about all the news from here. I am officially retired now. Hang in there, Kiddo, and get well. Know that you are loved and we do miss you.
