Walkies

Grumble. I wanted lunch, and my workplace has no food (just junk snacks.) There are several restaurants within a couple blocks of here, but all are at least one block away.

Since my roomie drove me today, I have no car. So, I walked to the nearby Japanese place. It took 12 minutes to get there, 13 minutes to get back. Good exercise (*spit*) but a waste of time. But lunch was good.

*sigh* I do so miss the good food restaurants of the Bay Area! Great gator tail just doesn't quite make up for all of the great Japanese, Chinese, Tai, Greek and all that one can get there. I have, however, learned how to eat grits ---- and that northerners don't make them right. They must be fine ground like cream of wheat to be good. I also know how to make hush puppies, but still don't find them my favorite. Most are, actually, quite inedible to me!
