I don't feel good...
Thursday started on the antibiotics, and the Vicodin. That was ok, but I ended up about an inch off the ground. My jaw and teeth were sore, but I didn't care, unless I clenched.
Friday, I started my day with a headache, a sore jaw, an antibiotic, and half a vicodin. Problem is, the infection and the penicillin are having a war, and my body is the battleground. Alternating feeling feverish with cold chills sucks. I threw up on the way to work. I went inside when I got there, used the bathroom, emptied my barf cup, and told my boss I was going home and why. I slept most of the day, in spite of the headache.
Today, I haven't thrown up. This is good. Of course, now I have the trots (the antibiotic has killed all the heppy bacteria in my GI tract, of course), and still have the headache. I've been eating stuff like tortilla chips for the fiber, just so I don't "run dry".
Apparently these are normal side effects to antibiotics, that "go away with treatment" (i.e. the antibiotic starts winning.) I usually don't react this badly. OTOH, this is the first time I've taken penecillin at the start of a tooth infection (the previous time the doctor precribed keflex.)
I need a haircut, but I can't go out.

You neither deserve nor need this right now. Damn, Damn and Double Damn. Too many of the people we love are sick.

S went and got me some today. Mmmmmmm, blueberry!
Sounds almost as if the infection has gone systemic.
That's kinda what I figured. The toothache started on Tuesday, I meant to call the dentist Wednesday but got too busy at work, and was up most of the night Weds night with pain, so I called Thursday. I was starting the antibiotics by noon.
If you continue to feel really crappy, get someone in the house to drive you to the E.R. and get evaluated.
Believe it. S will make me go. She told me that I wasn't going to stay at work Friday when I got there...
However, while I've been a lot loggy and run down today, I feel much better than I did yesterday. The runs have pretty much stopped, too, finally.
I get to go pick up my computer glasses tomorrow...

Hey, did the dr. tell you
You can pick the tabs up at nearly any health food store, just make sure you stick them in the fridge after you've opened them.
Sorry you're feeling lousy; hope you get better soon.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better, Ravan. BTW the computer glasses sound cool. I'm still doing the "take 'em off when computing and zoom the graphics projects thangy." Love ya!
