All of these "Reverends" have accused elements of the American society of causing 9/11

Vilification from Reverends

Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson say immorality and anti-Christian groups should share in the blame for the Terrorist Attacks on America
Falwell said, "The ACLU has got to take a lot of blame for this. And I know I'll hear from them for this, but throwing God...successfully with the help of the federal court system...throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools, the abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked and when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad...I really believe that the pagans and the abortionists and the feminists and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of them who try to secularize America...I point the thing in their face and say you helped this happen.

Robertson said, "I totally concur, and the problem is we've adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government, and so we're responsible as a free society for what the top people do, and the top people, of course, is the court system."

Jeremiah Wright calls 9/11 "Wake Up Call For Whites". (He also blames US suponsorship of terrorism overseas for it.)
In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just “disappeared” as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns.

After 9/11, he said, "America's chickens are coming home to roost."

What's the difference?

Reverend Wright is closer to the truth. Thus, the conservative hate it.

This whole thing, especially the phrase, "America's chickens are coming home to roost," reminds me very much of the brouhaha about Ward Churchill, who said almost word for word the exact same thing a few years back and was, I believe, relieved of his tenured position at the University of Colorado at Boulder for his book detailing his opinions (opinions that he is entitled to under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution) on that matter.

It should be noted that NO ONE has ask McCain to distance himself from the Right Wing Nut Preachers who have called the Pope the Anti-Christ, etc...
And let's face it, if Rev Wright had been White and supported Bush, they would have loved him. But he's black and a Democrat which makes him bad.

Reverend Wright is not different than Rush Limbaugh, just on the other side of the coin. Jerry and Pat where separated at birth from the rear end of a jackass.

All extreme comments from all sides are there to get butts in the seats and raise there ratings. To put any weight in any of there comments is the worst form of foolishness

I didn't say he was right, just that he was *closer* to the truth.
