Damnit, G, it's staring you in the face!! She's resigned to having to "live" without any control at all. Let her go. Part of what ties her here is your attachment, especially magical!
In a few weeks, the moon will be waning, coming into Samhain. Time for release.
D (My Daughter for those who don't know) and I visited N this morning. If nothing else she seemed less responsive and more resigned. For a moment she seemed to be more responsive to D, in a curious way than to me.
They still have her on the ventilator, it seems that when they start to take her off of it she becomes more agitated and her respiration goes up. This seems to make the medical types worried and they sedate her and put the ventilator back on. I don't know it seems almost like a carrot and stick game.

The Goddess is alive,
Magic is afoot,
and We need it.

As I recall
On a previous visit to N & Co, N told me the story of a working for RG, a friend of the family who was suffering from a degenerative condition.
N described how RG was left alive, but practically a vegetable. Unable to care for himself, unable to interact with others. She distinctly told me, at the time, that if she were ever in a similar position, she hoped that those who loved her would let her go, rather than keep her alive in the sort of half-existence she dreaded.
As much as I sympathize with N's loved ones, I sincerely hope that they don't condemn N to the sort of shadow life she told me she never, ever wanted to live.</P
