I worked my butt off today, setting up 6 users with network, et al, among other things. Then I proceeded to leave my cell phone at work. On the bright side, I came home to the wonderful odor of baking bread.
I've read the rumor that Six Apart will be buying Live Journal. This would be bad. Six Apart has a bit of contempt for it's users and their finances. Their unapologetic money grubbing, and exploitation of open source developers, is why Word Press is gaining so much ground as a blogging package. I can just see them trying to mangle the LJ software, and take it closed source costing an arm and a leg, while still making use of the free software developer community to write "plug-ins" or clients.
I've started looking for applications to back up all of my LJ entries, including comments. Has anyone here used one that they like, or hate, and if so, why??
