This morning has, quite frankly, sucked.

I woke up Eeeeeeerly. As in 4:30, and had some stuff from a dream that needed writing. I wrote it. Then my roomie was up, so we yakked some, while she got dressed and all of that. She kept delaying leaving the house, but finally did. Then my SO came in and yakked at me as he was getting ready to leave. Argh.

Finally, everyone's gone, and I wobble back to be for a precious two hours more. As I cuddle under my blankets and put my glasses aside, I hear the dreaded "beep" of my cell phone telling me I missed a call. Back on goes the light, and I look at it. My roomie. As I prepare to call her back, she pops in to my door saying "I missed the train, can you drive me to Millbrae". Approximately 30 miles away. Double argh.

I get up, clean up, get dressed and all that. I get her to Millbrae at 8:46. She really could have just waited for the next train, with the time it took between getting me dressed and traffic. Then I headed for the office, hoping to get a little done before the two hour meeting this morning. I got in at 9:30. Grrrr.

As I was getting my coffee, one of my co-workers, EI, came by and asked "Is that your Jeep out there? Your right rear tire was hissing as I went by, and it looks like there's a screw in it. You might want to have it checked before it goes so flat it's not drivable" Great. I went out, and sure enough, my tire was hissing and low, but still drivable for a few blocks.

I went to the nearby 76 station, and they found not one, but TWO identical screws in my tire. $15 later, plus a few gallons of gas (my idiot light had come on on the drive down.) Then I go back to the office, reclaim my coffee, and go sit in a meeting for 2 hours.

Now I've managed to have lunch, get buttonholed on two urgent but not really issues, and I still have to fill out my time card for last week, plus do other engineering paperwork, and then fight with fscking ClearCrap to get it to rebase and let me work on actual code. All I really want to do is go home and go back to bed, but since this is a short, holiday week, I need to work all the hours I can to get a reasonable paycheck for the rest of the year and gift silliness.

I need more coffee....
