When people leave an online community, they usually post a bitter diatribe, saying, essentially, "You don't like me, I'm gonna take my toys and go home, and you'll see how much you miss me, nyeah, nyeah." Like an operatic swan song.
I don't believe in that.
I just leave pathetic little mobs of know it all goody two shoes, like
pagan, maybe with a short post in my own journal.
Life's too short to deal with idiots.
In other news, I still haven't heard which day Michele's wake is going to be on at BayCon. I'm thinking about getting a room at the hotel so that if I drink, I have a place to crash that I control, and I won't have to worry about getting home. It's not a problem to afford it, but it will cut into my spending cash.
I still am amazed that so many people online will rise to righteously defend a self destructive little idiot, but very few out in the real world tried their best to help Michele, who was truly willing to be helped. In fact, she tried to get help, and kept getting blown off as a druggie (which she wasn't), or a fat and piggish (thus lazy) woman (when she ate about 1000 calories a day, but still gained weight, probably due to a metabolic imbalance), or a hypocondriac (with migraines that made her puke, psoriasis lesions all over, diabetes, and finally a heart condition due to the rest going untreated so long) by the medical profession.
This seems to be my day for run on sentence with nested parentheses.
