Resume Spammers

Last night I updated my resume on DICE, and announced my availability. This morning I have two emails offering "career" and "resume broadcast" services - for a fee, of course.

What kind of scum hovers around job boards like vultures, seeking to suck money off of job seekers, many of whom are unemployed, for services of dubious value? Resume broadcasters can actually hurt your job search - you get clasified as a spammer.

I sent them nastygrams - and told one that if they solicited me again, I'd bill them $500 for a "critique, proofreading, and editing fee".
