The Village Voice has an article about the The Northampton Bill of Rights Defense Committee of Northampton, Massachusetts. While it is still at the civil "Don't do this" stage, it may have no effect on the "Adolf" Bush and "Heinrich" Ashcroft campaign to turn America into a reprressive police state, but at least it shows that more than just the "lunatic fringe" is concerned and/or revolted by this crap.
There is, of course, the Callahanian start on a more subtle defense against a worst case scenario, and what to do after the country has imploded here. There are also some interesting points on the The Thomas Paine Project - a site run by Vietnam Vets that are holding to their oath of service.

I solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
