Autumn has now fallen into place. My sugarfoot is kicking in to high gear. Day trips will have to scratch the itch, though.
We are hurtling rapidly toward one of those nasty little decision points in history, and everything else seems to be hanging fire on the crossroads. Yet most people are oblivious to it, caught in their rut of conformity and ignorance.

But with you on the rest of the post... it's going to be one of those points in history where future historians look back and wonder "what were they thinking off?!"
But like you say, 99.99% seem to be oblivious. Empathsis on the 'seem to'. In so far as I suspect it's like a few friends of mine down in Florida did prior to Ivan arriving. Pretending like nothing's happening for fear of making it 'real'. Because in reality, there's not a lot one can do except stare down the tracks at the on-coming train. So you either make like it's not there, or go crazy with worry.
But hey, at least you USa-ians get to vote. The rest of the world has no choice but to watch what's happen and chew our fingernails down tot he bone, hoping that y'all make the right choice. [with varying degrees of confidence.]

I am in the unenviable position of distrusting Bush and being scared shitless of Kerry. What in the Hell was the man doing for the past 20 years in the Senate? Both he and Edwards have been largely absentee senators where voting on bills was concerned. Will he also be an absentee president? Is Bush a total puppet of the Cheney group?
Right now I am leaning toward the devil I know, mainly because I know that for Kerry to do as he is promising will mean beaucoups more taxes and they will not fall only on those in the over $200,000 bracket. When Kerry says that in his plan the government will pick up the costs of catastrophic health care, that means you and me. Why didn't he do something about this under Clinton? I begin to think that he is emphasizing his war record because his senatorial record is so woeful. I fear, also, that he will talk everything to death and get nothing accomplished.
I still don't know for whom I will vote, and I will vote!
