There were these posts on a.c about meme war, bumper stickers, slogans, and all. I read it just before bed. I should know better. I kept waking up with ideas. Fortuantely, this time I turned on the light and wrote them down...
Bumper stickers, buttons, what have you. Here's last night's memewar brain dump:
JEWeler, or JEW, The NEXT Might Be YOU! # kristallnacht next?
Freedom: Love It
Freedom: Live It
Freedom: Keep It
Freedom: Defend It
Freedom: Vote It
# (this is designed as a series)
Watch the Watchers # the answer to "who will watch the watchers" is you
Bill of Rights: Read It # self explanatory
Small Purchase? Use Cash # avoid building a pattern for marketing and gov't
Leave No Data Trail # privacy is important to avoid Big Brother
Fanatics Kill # fanatics of any stripe
No 3R'd Reich # no RRR Reich - this one has to be spoken to get it
Always Ask Why # BB hates questions
Demand Answers # be a pest
Uphold The Constitution # a challenge to politicians, gov't workers, etc.
Question Congress # a takeoff on "Question Authority"
Civil Rights Are YOUR Rights # I think I've seen this one out there
Protect Personal Privacy # privacy is part of the right to be left alone
Choose Freedom # a takeoff on the "Choose Life" stickers
Freedom Is Not An "Option", It's A RIGHT # more coopting
9-11 Keep Us Free # don't let the terrorists win
Speak Out, or You're Next # refer to "... and I said nothing, because..."
Stop The Chains # of tyranny
Don't Spy On Me # a takeoff on "don't tread on me" from the gadsden flag
MYOB, George # Keep the government nose out of my life
Also, print up stickers with the various amendments, and put them places as sort of an incremental education campaign - especially 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9...
O.B. Unemployment: I had a nice surprise in my mailbox today - apparently the federal extension was still good, and they sent me some money (the last of it). The second is supposed to be automaticaly filed, and they'll send me the forms... But everything is running late. I'll make rent for August, though.
