A) Should I bother to get back into involvement with the local neopagan community? I've been out of touch for several years, except on one email list. Should I start attending events again? What if some jerk starts patronizing me like they thought I was a neophyte? What if I feel like a fish out of water among a bunch of social crocodiles?

B) Am I boring? Do my journal entries just sort of lack punch, or interest? Or is the lack of comments due to the relative newness of my journal, or even the lack of promotion of it on my part?

C) Does anyone have any suggestions for an occupation for a disabled, one handed geek with no technical area job prospects?? Would signing on a streetcorner make me some money, and what are the laws about it in the Silicon Valley?

D) Am I sane?

A) Do you want to? If so, you could always go to an event and see how it goes. Worst case: One disappointing evening. And then it's up to you to try again or decide it's not worth another disappointing evening.

B)No. No. Mostly I haven't said anything because I haven't had anything to say, for one reason or another. Comments do tend to pick up as time passes and friends accumulate, but, also, just like everyplace else, there are lots of reasons people won't comment that have pretty much nothing to do with you. =)

C)Sorry, can't help here. Just wish ya luck.

D)Based on current evidence, I'd say yes. =)

Hmmmm

A) I have miced feelings about it. I've been hermitting for so long that social activity is a bit odd for me.

B) Ah, ok.

C) Thanx.

D) That's almost scary... ;)

er -

a) if you really wanted to do this, wouldn't you just go do it instead of asking the question? and would it hurt to give it a try, just once, maybe?

b) don't think so, but that's just my opinion: I don't get a lot of comments either

c) I'm not in the same country as you are, so I'm afraid I can't help - and can I ask what kind of signing? Or did you perhaps mean singing?

d) grin - apparently, being able and willing to ask that question is one of the indicators that the answer is most likely yes

a) I can't decide if I want to or not - I am a true member of the "ditherati", after all! ;)

b) Well, if it's not only me, I don't feel so bad.

c) No, signing. Standing on a streetcorner with a cardboard sign that says "Unemployed, Hungry, Disabled, Need Money" -- basically begging. I would probably make less singing... ;)

d) Hmmmm, you may have a point.
