Well, fsck!

One of my best buddies here at work had one blowup too many, and is no longer with the company. This kind of depresses me, although I guess I saw it coming. He'd been working too many hours, too long, in a culture that is too political for its own good. He had a worse control on his temper than I do, and was burned out and angry.

Still, it upsets me. Not to mention that losing him loses a valuable resource.

Now we're short a senior sysadmin.
