Day Off

So it's my one day off. The first week has gone OK, although the Saturday "Test Fest" started crappy. Most of the people are really great geeks! Some of the "higher end" programmers, though...

Note: I get rather cranky if you grab my mouse and start doing things on my screen with it, if you reach over my shoulder to type, or if you start repeating "instructions" louder if I don't *immediately* do them (start to finish) because I'm doing something else!! I am not stupid, I am not some airheaded receptionist, and even though you don't know me, I have used computers longer than you have, you snotty chump kid! Don't even do it jokingly, and I won't relegate your requests to the bottom of my inbox forever, actively try to break your code (or report the failures in the most scathing term possible), or other snide things.

I wore my "The Network Is Down, But I'm Feeling Better" Saturday. The irony is, the network was down... It started to fail at 8:38 Friday night, while I was try to copy some files. I thought it was my system freezing up...

The good news: 51.5 hours, starting Tuesday morning at 8:30.... 60+ next week, paid hourly!
The bad news: my first paycheck won't come until March 7!

Needless to say, I slept in this morning...
