Heard from my sister last night. Grandma pulled through, making a liar out of my mother (who figured she wouldn't.) She is temporarily in a nursing home while she heals up.
Mom is "handling" her finances. Mom, the financial dunce, who can't walk 1500 feet without getting exhausted. Mom, who is caring full time at home for a hubby who had a stroke (because his kids won't), but can't be bothered to call me with an update. She's in the earlier time zone, and has the screwy schedule.
In other news, my roomie M goes in for an angiogram today. They may have to do a double bypass due to scarring from prior heart surgery. Like she won't scar more?? She's *younger* than I am.
I'm still f*cking unemployed, but I have my health. (Good thing, because I'm uninsured...)
