Well, it rained last night. The water, of course, comes off the roof in sheets, except the few places where we have gutters. Then it got cold. When we went out this morning, the poor tomatos looked rather bedraggled. There was a reason I wanted to get them in Saturday, not Sunday!! At least they got plenty of water, and I don't think it went below freezing. I figure maybe half of the plants will survive, but since I planted 12 seedlings, half will be enough to make a few tomatos this summer. The basil, of course, was fine, since it is under one of the areas that has gutters.
