Blueberries, Rasberries, Boysenberries

This past weekend we finally, after 13 years, planted some fruit in the yard. I bought bareroot plants, and wheedled, cajoled, and bribed my roomies to help put them in. One of them I didn't give any notice to, so he couldn't talk me out of it *again*. I only fell down once while planting the blueberry bushes.

I checked on them this morning. So far, so good, they look like they are settling in nicely.

Mmmmmmm... Wow, those cherries have been on a (mumble) year bender!! I do remember something about stained fingers... you put the cherry in the little gismo, then push down the plunger, and theoretically the pit pops out the other end.

My roomie datapard and I sometimes do wander up to Reno. She's into slots. We don't do it in the early spring, however. The last time we tried we got stuck in a snowstorm around Truckee, in her little bitty Ford Festiva...
