Blueberries, Rasberries, Boysenberries
This past weekend we finally, after 13 years, planted some fruit in the yard. I bought bareroot plants, and wheedled, cajoled, and bribed my roomies to help put them in. One of them I didn't give any notice to, so he couldn't talk me out of it *again*. I only fell down once while planting the blueberry bushes.
I checked on them this morning. So far, so good, they look like they are settling in nicely.

Speaking of 'fruit of the vines'....
Well, I never did get around to making chocolate covered cherries, but, those three mason jars have traveled around with me, usually stuck in storage somewhere or other. And last fall, whilst moving stuff from rented storage to the barns-to-be-purchased, I came across those three jars. And the cherries are very brandied. So, I transferred them to one large container (yes, they are still good) added some sugar, have let them sit for a while and will soon be decanting them to small jars for gifts.
So, if you ever make it up here, come and collect your jar of 'Drunken Cherries'.
