I've been trying to learn to use the Gimp. I suck a photo editing with it, so I tried a freehand self portrait. This userpic is what I got. While drawing with a trackball is better than drawing with a mouse, it still leaves something to be desired.
Very well done! Umm, for me it is the old eyes, but maybe you can use my trick for photo editing. I enlarge the photo on the computer until I can edit pixel by huge pixel. Then when I shrink it down again it looks awesome. Of course, as you may remember, I am still an old CorelDRAW and Corelphotopoint fan. I would love to get a crack at Quark some day. I don't know if Corel is available for linux either. Isn't that what you use on your machines? Anyhue, the enlarging trick should work with any program. The picture was really good. I know how hard it is to edit lines in any program, gimp or no gimp. You do better than most people with two perfect arms. Love ya!
