Well, they like their little holes in the wall, but I did get Speck to venture out a little bit today. She came out and proceeded to chew me out about lumps in the litterbox! I gave them some moist food, but they didn't come out for me yet.

I think they're still getting used to all of the thumps, rattles, and noises associated with this house - including the neighbors dogs barking and the train going by behind the house!

*I still ded form cute!*

Odd funny here - just before your post on my friends page was one to [livejournal.com profile] note_to_cat that had the same icon but without the verbage.

Enjoy the fluffballs.

Hidey-hole behavior, which reminds me of Circe when she came home and spent a lot of time in the back of the bedroom closet, for the first few weeks. It's the kitty-in-hiding feral instinct. Strange environment? Ooh, scary! Best have a place to hide! But they'll be socializing soon!

Yeah, they were ferals that were caught young, but even our older cats like their nooks and crannies.

My wife lived for 5 years in a apt right near some commuter train tracks for the entire time she lived there, her cat would startle as the hourly train went by.
