Thanks for the link. At least here, they refer to them as "our sons and daughters" and the notices in the paper are for "service members". Maybe because it's a military town and you see so many young women in uniform around here. Really sad in court a few months back, a young couple was giving custody of their children to relatives because they were both deploying to Iraq, again.
