Last minute vs sniper

I don't really have the meaness to be an ebay sniper - or the time to hover over the page. So I'll settle for bidding in the last half hour to hour. It won't kill me to not spend the money - I have enough yarn in stash to do my projects for now.

Edit: Grrrrrr. sheep dip (deep-in-sheep) sniped me and hordes of others on one vendor's auctions. He didn't win them all - I snipered him on one (useful having a computer running ntp and showing *seconds*, and a few minutes free to watch it) and one other person was alert too.

One of the folks on my flist speaks highly of eSnipe, if you want to fight fire with fire.

After losing out on several good vans for Bill, I resorted to sniping in the last 30 seconds to get the Big Blue Monster. I am glad I did and glad I won it. Oh, it has it's quirks and problems, but all in all it is here and runs and will get us out if the hurricane season turns nasty. Let's hope the forecasters are wrong this year and we don't have another one like 2004.
