How to format a resume...

... let me count the ways: txt, html, pdf, ps, rtf, doc, sxw. Seven, and I don't have wordperfect in there.

But I got it done.

The trick I'm running into is deciding which format to send when they don't specify..

I've been told by HR people that unless told otherwise, electronic resumes are to use flat ASCII. Special formating is a way to assure it isn't read. (Sorry to break it to you.)

I haven't been looking in a while, but I used to use text for email, and keep the fancy formatting for the paper copy.

Hmmm...

I recognise all those extensions except the last. What's an .sxw file?
