Ahhhh....

SiliCon 2008 is over, all except for the last bits of mop-up. The hotel blew chunks this year - we are royally ticked with them - BUT the people attending had a good time.

We had some interesting issues with non-fan jerks Saturday night, but they were few. The hotel had to deal with the skeeze, but that meant that it put a bit of a crimp in some of our doings.

I even got a chance to go to parties Saturday night! Had a blast!

The biggest downside? I started Thursday off with a blister on my toe, so I was limping the entire con. That hurt.

I now know what the biggest part of a con chair's job is: Hunting down drama llamas and eliminating them.

Here's a shout out to all those who stayed the course and stepped up to the plate to make this happen. See everyone next year!

Hello this is the ESH (Emergency Storm Hologram) Storm is still asleep and recovering. He plans to be awake sometime around FurCon. Please leave a message.

There was crazyness abounding, but Chris and I got lucky and were not directly impacted by it. Except for the "twigs" issues.

All in all, we had a very fun weekend.

If you, as chair, are dealing with drama llamas, then you haven't properly delegated. That's what Ops is for, if they're doing _their_ job. Leastwise, was when Gene and I ran the show, many moons ago.
