I did an original "Request a Rant" (aka "Rent A Rant") in my journal on January 13, in This Entry:

"So I'm opening this up for "Request A Rant". Got someone or something you righteously want chewed on? Do you care if the ranting has a little profanity and a lot of hyperbole? Request A Rant is here for You!".

It's interesting to see it has morphed into a meme :

1. Comment with any subject that you would like me to rant on, with possible
swearing involved. any subject - I don't even have to agree with it.
2. Watch my journal for your rant.
3. Post this in your own journal, so that you may rant for others.

My entry is friends locked, but the rants were not, so the migration must have happened from someone on my friends list, or someone who read the rants. But I can't seem to trace the spread, which is disappointing.

Any clues?

This could be fun to try to trace back. On my end, I snagged it from Hearthstone, who got it from kyrene who got it elsewhere.... needs must to go investigating....
