I love it when people get what's coming to them!

I got a call this evening from one of my former coworkers. It seems that this morning the asshole VP who set me up to be fired at my last job "left the company" (read: got fired!) Needless to say, a lot of people around there are in much better moods...

Would it be too arrogant of me to say that you don't fuck me and mine over and not pay the price? This is not the first time that a jerk boss that shafted me has got their comuppance and I have heard about it.

BTW, was where you were working a "dot.bomb"? That sort of purge used to happen all the time in the dot.bombs out here. Watched it happen over and over to my friends. Globix had a particularily notorious purge one year. They'd promise you ridiculous options and then fire you right before they were to vest.

Hmm. Would that that would happen to even one of the managers, deans, and department heads on my list--there might actually be some jobs for people who care about students.
