So, we moved in to this nice mixed neighborhood in San Jose, just south of Japantown. Well, it lacks one thing: other fans! Please, give me some fannish neighbors!

The apartment complex next door has a two bedroom apartment up for rent. While the people in there are not the quietest people on earth by a long shot, the people in the victorian next door are. I don't know how much they want for rent, but it can't be too much - it has no pool or other frippery. If you like trains it's a plus!

The coolest thing is that this location is about halfway between the DoubleTree Hotel and the San Jose Convention Center. It's only a 5 block walk (short blocks at that) to the Japantown light rail station, and there is sushi within walking distance too.

Sorry, I can't move out there right now. LOL Otherwise it would be ideal. I just cannot justify paying rent when I have a home, well, two right now, free and clear with very low taxes on both. Hope you get great tenants! Peace and love to you, of course, and chocolate. Your Mama is now down 29 pounds since December. She will get the weight off for the knee surgery. Besides, she says, eating less is a bit cheaper so this is her diet of double necessity. She has promised to celebrate the house sale and final moving with a lobster dinner in St. Augustine, however. LOL

Memories

I used to live at 460 N. First St, so same area, check out the the farmers market Sunday AM at 7th and Jackson.

The area has changed a bit since I lived there, Dobashi's is gone (japanese market from way back) for one.
